Welcome to Friends Academy Katende.

It’s my pleasure to welcome you all,to our beloved website of Friends Academy Katende and also to give you a brief insight of our aims and objectives. I also hope that through this website we can reflect some of the distinguished programmes and activities offered by the school to its students.

Friends academy Katende was borne out of a desire by a group of friends to address some observed shortcomings in our educational system. Driven by this desire we decided to acquire these 21 acres of land in Katende which is 17 Miles from the capital city Kampala on Masaka road.

Friends academy’s journey into the future of the young minds started officially in year 2007 when teaching activities begun. Our objective was to work with a supportive enthusiastic community eager to assist in setting up a school of excellence where children can be the very best, they can. Every effort has been made to assemble a strong diverse team of teachers and support staff to give our school the strength and unique flavour that will distinguish it as a school of choice in the area. Our aim is to assist all students to achieve their potential. As well as focussing on defined knowledge and skills objectives, we strive to develop attitudes and values which best equip our children for life and for active and productive participation in society. Our goal is to create a learning atmosphere that is both challenging and supportive, while focusing on the development of the whole student. We have been able to boost the academic stamina and resilience of our students through a number of targeted programs, tailored towards broadening their imaginative skills.

Notwithstanding the strength of our curriculum, we strive to keep upgrading our facilities, improve the library, science laboratories, fine arts studio, computer room, carpentry, handcraft & tailoring workshops and all that a 21^st century school requires on a continuous basis. Co-curricular and extra-curricular activities are all available.

Our quest for excellence is limitless and our passion of creativity forms the bedrock of our daily engagement. We welcome parents and guardians to have a guided tour of our school and we are looking forward to receive your children and become part of Friends academy. Family.
